You're on stage every day, wherever you are. Others are watching you and will look up to you. They see how you treat team members, guests, family and friends. 

Hold yourself to a higher standard than others do for you. Do the right thing, even if you don't feel like or it's unpopular.

Be reliable. Consistently show up to the shifts that are assigned to you. Arrive on time and ready to work. Be willing to come early and/or stay late. 

Be respectful to those above and below you- a difference of opinion should not equal an argument. Remember to praise in public and discuss issues in private.

Lead with empathy. Work hard to build trusting relationships with your team. Go out of your way to make everyone feel welcome. Don’t discuss team issues in public. Learn team member’s favorite tasks. Learn about their family, their goals, etc. 

Work with a smile - always - even when you don’t want to.
