The Smart Safe systems is comprised of two parts, the ordering side and the depositing side. We order all of our change orders through Loomis utilizing the Smart Safe and we deposit all sales funds into the Smart Safe every day. This system allows for efficient change order while offering a higher level of security for the funds, making our business a less attractive target to would-be thieves.
Once you have completed this section, you will be able to:
Place a change order with Loomis
Deposit funds into the Smart Safe
Perform a manual drop in the Smart Safe
Record a deposit in InFORM
Show receiving a change order in InFORM
Run reports using the Smart Safe
Identify how much money you want to use for your change order
Call Loomis to place your change order
Use the call-in system to designate how much of each denomination you would like to order
Save your order in the call-in system, then hang up
On the Smart Safe, press "Insert Bills"
Enter your PIN
Choose Cashier Deposit or Change Fund
Insert bills into acceptors
When finished, press "Done"
On the Smart Safe, press "Manual Deposit"
Enter your PIN
Choose Cashier Deposit or Change Fund
Choose "Cash" or "Check"
Enter amount and press "Enter"
Attach the deposit receipt to the funds being deposited
Drop the funds into the slot in the bottom of the Smart Safe
Save the second deposit slip that prints for end of day processing
Log into @Chick-fil-A
Under Reports and Tools, select InFORM
Select the checkmarks in the top left corner
Select "Change Fund Deposited"
Enter the amount deposited, then click "Authorize"
Log into @Chick-fil-A
Under Reports and Tools, select InFORM
Select the checkmarks in the top left corner
Select "Change Fund Received"
Enter the amount deposited, then click "Authorize"
On the Smart Safe, press "More"
Enter your PIN
Select "Reports"
Select the report you are looking for
Your report will print automatically
