While we strive to provide a safe environment for our guests and Team Members, it is inevitable that injuries and incidents will occur from time to time. The same steps are followed for injuries and car accident/ incident involving an automobile on our property. Injuries can include anything from burns, slips, falls, cuts, broken bones,
sprained muscles, etc., etc. The many ways our team or guests can hurt themselves or others is
practically endless. Some examples of car incidents include someone being hit in the Drive Thru, cars
being hit or damaged in our parking lot, etc. If you are the leader present, you will need to know what
to do if someone is injured or an automobile incident occurs while the restaurant is in your care.
1. Call 9-1-1 if immediate medical attention is necessary
2. If not, assist how you can. Offer ice, Tylenol, bandaids, burn gel, etc.
3. Grab the leadership Laptop or any cellular device and sign in to CFAhome. Under Reports and tools click onto "Sedgwick"
4. NEVER tell anyone Chick-fil-A will pay for ANYTHING. Instead: "Our insurance company will handle this claim. We do not have the ability to decide who will pay for what. They will be the ones to contact you within 24-48 hours with more information.”
5. ALWAYS report any incident that occurs in the restaurant to Sedgwick. Submit the claim online via cfahome.com. Instructions are found on the Sedgwick Claim sheet.
6. Notify Executive Director of incident via Crew Leadership Channel.
Part of your responsibility as a leader will be to ensure the safety or our guests and Team Members in relation to visitors in or around our restaurant.
You will need to monitor or respond to reports of solicitation, loitering, or suspicious or strange behavior occurring in our restaurant or on our property.
Solicitation is the act of requesting or offering goods or services, or in other words, trying to sell things. Loitering is the act of remaining, standing, or waiting around in a particular public place for an extended period of time with no apparent purpose.
This can often be indicative of bad intentions. Neither solicitation or loitering is allowed on Chick-fil-A property. Should you witness or be told of either while you are the leader at the store, you may kindly ask the individual to leave, and let them know that if they do not, you will call the police.
If someone is acting suspiciously or strangely, never hesitate to call the police. It is always better to be safe than sorry! Do not ever risk the safety or yourself or a Team Member to confront someone soliciting, loitering, or acting weird. If you do not feel comfortable approaching the person, always call the police.
We appreciate you taking the time to invest in yourself. Please fill out this form therefore you can get compensated for your time.
